The ARTx3 Campus will host a reception for Revelations of My Youth, an exhibition of expressive acrylic paintings by Pine Bluff artist Alexia Lams, from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, in The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas. The reception is free and open to the public.
In Revelations of My Youth, Lams explores mortality, guidance, relationships and identity during the transitional period of young adulthood. Her paintings depict figures in fragmented, liminal spaces and amorphous forms inhabiting cosmic environments. Together, the works serve as visual diaries that record the physical and emotional experiences that shaped the artist’s youth.
The exhibition is on view in the Ben J. Altheimer Gallery during visitor hours from Aug. 13, 2026, to Jan. 9, 2027.
