Can you make a bird move without touching it? Bird in a Cage is a fun, hands-on science activity that explores air, motion, and observation. Create a simple model of a bird inside a paper “cage” and investigate how movement, air, or visual effects can make the bird appear to move or change position. This activity will encourage you to make predictions, observe closely, and explain what you see using evidence.
Each Next Gen STEAM Exhibition Series runs for four weeks. Visitors may drop into the Creative Construction Zone during regular visitor hours (10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday).
